Date The Wedding- A night of Fun, a night to plan!

I've discussed a lot about bridal shows this year. From How to Get the Most out of a Bridal Show to a line up of some of the Local Shows and which may be best for you.  Today, I get to actually SHOW you a unique bridal show. For the past five years, I have been part of a unique wedding planning experience at Date The Wedding.

This show is different in that all the vendors (one of each type) actually does their full job, as if this were a real wedding situation. The "guests" arrive as if they are coming to an actual wedding. They get passed appetizers, time to meet vendors at small tables, and then a wedding "ceremony" styled fashion show. appetizers, waitstaff, catering, weddingPassed appsRosa Mae's staff sharing appetizers Models are styled by professional bridal/tux shops  and hair and makeup by a wedding beauty artist. Flowers and decor by a local shop. In the past, we have had real officiants but for the recent show our wonderful DJ was Master of Ceremony. He and our planner gave many tips on planning the perfect day and what goes on behind the scenes.

After the fashion show, I discussed what goes into the formal session and actually let them witness and ask questions while I photograph the models. Guests get to enjoy a full buffet dinner while eating/discussing with other couples and vendors. One lucky couple gets to practice their cake cutting skills for the big day.

The night is concluded with a "reception" of dancing, photobooth fun and prizes. I've always loved the concept of this show because it is so relaxed. The couples really enjoy it and unlike some of the other shows, there is never any overwhelmed "deer in the headlight" glazed expressions. They were engaged, having fun and getting ideas as well as falling in love with the vendors.  photosreception funphotobooth and group photos to end the night photosreception funphotobooth and group photos to end the night

This year, I was particularly invested in this show as my daughter modeled as a flower girl. She had the best time. I hope you enjoy a look back at this year's show. These vendors are ALL AMAZING and you can't go wrong.

Our videographer had an emergency gig and was unable to attend so I did a little bit of video work. You can see the video here!

I think all people enjoy the party. I did read your blog. you took the right decision that you have chosen the pink color.

Violet with a peach accent is always beautiful. Also Royal blue makes a fabulous bride's maid gown when used with the shiny material.
