Olivia and David's Fall Wedding at the Crystal Gardens in Jamestown, NC

We hope everyone is enjoying a warm and safe snow day here in North Carolina! While we are playing in the snow, drinking hot chocolate, eating soup, doing all the things we do on a perfect snow day, I am reminded of a wonderful engagement session I did last year in the snow. Pops of color, lots of love, and it was a great shoot to remember! So for all the love birds out there who are newly engaged, planning thier weddings, I wanted to share this engagement session for Olivia and David that led to a stunning fall wedding at the Crystal Gardens in Jamestown, NC.

We started toying with engagement ideas and had discussed the possibility of snow photos which is not the easiest thing to obtain in NC. Mother Nature cooperated (which she so seldom did in 2015) with a beautiful fluffy snow that did not impact the roads too heavily. So a quick location pick and off we went to pose and play in the snow at Country Park in Greensboro, NC!

As the year progressed, I got to know Olivia and David more despite thier move out of state. We discussed and organized and I got to spend a pretty late summer day with Olivia and her entourage at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC for bridal portraits where we used the warm late afternoon sun to give her a golden glow for her fall feeling portraits (since we did not have actual fall leaf color to work with!).

October finally came and we were thrilled to be a part of this love story. We started the day with a stop by the J.H.Adams Inn where Olivia was getting ready. Quiet girl time in a beautiful room that the bride and groom would return to. JH Adams Inn

Olivia did her own flowers, baked all the pies and the cake. She really had a lot of herself in the details. Her family helped her decorate with all the fall touches from a candy buffet to leaves and pumpkins spread out through the reception hall. My Beautiful Wedding did an amazing job at the ceremony location on the Hillside Terrace with columns and fall vines, pumpkins and hanging candles. It was a perfect setting overlooking Castle McCulloch's small lake surrounded by fall trees. The Crystal Garden ballroom was vibrant with pops of teal among the fall hues and the smells of dinner provided by Rosa Mae's wafting through the air.
